The 2020 Ultimate Edmonton Attractions Pass Review

Well, it’s officially 2020, and that also means the 2020 Ultimate Edmonton Attractions Pass. (There’s also the U-Pick version, but we’ll save that for a different post.)

The Details of the Ultimate Edmonton Attractions Pass. Is it a multi-attractions pass?

Let’s take a look at the Ultimate Edmonton Attractions Pass.

The meat of the pass:

  • The pass costs $89.95 per adult and $59.95 (plus GST) for children between 3 to 17 years old.
  • But what about kids under three? Can we not bring them? Of course, you can. What a great idea, I may add this option to my free baby programs in Edmonton post.
  • The Ultimate Pass gives you access, once, to every participating attraction.
  • You have to know how to use a computer because the pass can only be purchased online.

An easy (and reasonably priced) way of sightseeing in Edmonton

And that’s really all there is to it. There are some other details, but a lot of these are common sense. You can only use the pass when the attraction is open to the public. So you can’t crash a private wedding party at the U of A Botanical Gardens, even though the Botanical Gardens is a participant of the Edmonton Attractions Pass.

Is the pass worth it? Just guesstimating from my recent history of taking Elle to some of these locations, I would say there is a saving. But fortunately, I don’t need to pull out the calculator because the savings are a feature outlined on the “FAQ” page, “almost 60% off the regular price of the 14 Attractions“.

(But really, there are only 13 attractions, not 14. I’m just taking a look at the list of attractions, and the Old Strathcona District is already free admission.)

Yes, Snow Valley Aerial Park is part of the pass. But the Snow Valley Skiing is not. So read the fine print. No refunds!

But perhaps before you buy, take a look at the fine print. While the roster of attractions participating in the pass is attractive, the deadline to use the pass is December 31st, 2020. So unless you like blitzing through the venues, make sure you give plenty of time to use the pass over the year to take full advantage of seeing each of the locations. Because once you buy, there is no refund policy.
